The Set Me Free Project ® began in 2014 after much training, research, and education on the evils of human trafficking. The mission of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP) is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Our desire is to reach as many facets of the community and as many people with trafficking prevention education. As an Editor, you will assist in reviewing the spelling, grammar, and punctuation of our curriculum. The volunteer in this role will report to the Director of Programming. A background check is a requirement to become a volunteer. 

Duration: Flexible

Timeline: Flexible 

# of Volunteers Needed: 1- 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review curriculum for any spelling, grammar punctuation and syntax. 

  • Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity and flow. 

  • Follow The Set Me Free Project style guide and brand standards. 
     

Skills:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, creative writing or a related area (preferred).

  • Excellent writing and verbal skills. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost integrity.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
