Missouri Valley, Iowa Sentence: 20 years (J); 15 years (T)
John used social media to convince a 14-year-old girl, from a group home he had worked at, to come live with him and his wife, Trudy. They sexually abused the girl through various sexual acts. After the minor returned to the group home, John again contacted her via social media and arranged to have her and a second minor female come to their home for sexual activities.

Urbandale, Iowa Sentence: Life in Prison
Clark got his 15-year-old daughter and 12-year-old niece hooked on crack cocaine, raped them, and promised to continue providing crack in exchange for the continuation of sexual abuse. He then trafficked them to his drug dealer and the dealer’s roommate in exchange for crack.

Bellevue, Nebraska Sentence: 20-40 years
DeArch was in a sexual relationship with a 15 year-old girl for 6 months when he started posting sexual ads for her without her knowledge. A 41 year-old male responded to one of the ads. DeArch was present while the man raped the 15 year-old girl and was given $40 by the man afterward. DeArch arranged encounters with 3 other men, during which he’d tell the girl what to do.

Gretna, Nebraska Sentence: 10 years
Courtney transported and advertised a 16 year-old girl through photos taken on her cell phone. Courtney and the minor would travel throughout Nebraska and Iowa, staying in motel rooms together, while she assisted the minor with negotiating the price of commercial sex acts with potential customers. As a result, the minor engaged in numerous commercial sex acts throughout the states of Iowa and Nebraska.

Waterloo, Iowa Sentence: 10 years
Sade and her husband met two 16 year-old girls online and purchased bus tickets to bring them to Iowa. Once in Iowa, photos of the teens were taken and used in ads online. The teens lived at the couple’s home and were directed to have sex with men for money and steal items from stores to sell. Sade drove the teens to stores for the thefts and to locations for sexual encounters and collected the money.

Omaha, Nebraska Sentence: 8 years
On June 8, 2022, Douglas County Sheriff’s undercover officers posted an advertisement on a commercial sex act website. Nolan conversed with the officer through calls and text messages spanning six days. After being informed the provider was 15 years old, Nolan continued to seek a meeting for a commercial sex act. He offered to pay $100 and an Egg McMuffin in exchange for a half-hour of sex and to meet them at a northwest Omaha location.

Kearney, Nebraska Sentence: 80-90 years
Michelle was charged with sex trafficking her 14 and 7 year-old daughters. She sold her 14 year-old for sex at least 20 times, including to Michelle’s boyfriend, age 41. The judge from the case said the details were too vile and “brutal” for the public to hear and he wasn’t sure they would believe it.

Ankeny, Iowa Sentence: 2 years probation
Brittany set up times and dates for four women to have sex with various men in different hotels. She then drove the women to the hotels and collected the money from them.

Lincoln, Nebraska Sentence: 47 years
Devin found numerous people to traffic on Snapchat by pretending he wanted to date them. He would then beat, starve, and push cocaine on them to get them to provide sexual services to buyers. At least 3 of the minors he trafficked were children who had either run away from home or were in the foster care system when Devin targeted them. He was also convicted of producing child sex abuse images.

Clive, Iowa Sentence: 41 years (A); 40 years (L)
Hozda and Sorensen lured a 20-year-old girl into their Recreational Vehicle (RV), telling her they would take her to see a friend, and then, took her phone, forced her to consume alcohol and marijuana and sexually assaulted her. They abducted her and sold her for sex multiple times, before taking her on a road trip to pick up Hozda’s 8-year-old daughter in Virginia. They forced her to text her mom that she was voluntarily traveling so as not to raise suspicions. During the trip, and upon arrival, they sex trafficked her a multitude of times, threatened to kill the survivor and her family, and abused and severely tortured her, some of the time while Hozda’s daughter was present. The survivor was recovered after a concerned truck driver saw suspicious behavior in the RV at a gas station and contacted law enforcement.
