The Set Me Free Project ® began in 2014 after much training, research, and education on the evils of human trafficking. The mission of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP) is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Our desire is to reach as many facets of the community and as many people with trafficking prevention education. As a Researcher Volunteer, you will assist in research activities including understanding the current state of the human trafficking industry and technology to assist in counter-trafficking efforts (like survey data collection). The volunteer in this role will report to the Chief Operating Officer. A background check is a requirement to become a volunteer.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Collecting and analyzing data and trends, patterns and other helpful information in the counter human trafficking area.

  • Consults with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather information and determine requirements. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams on various initiatives. 
     

Skills:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, mathematics or related field (preferred).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of project management practices. 

  • Skill in fact-finding and data collection. 

  • Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost integrity.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel and Google Drive.
