The Set Me Free Project ® began in 2014 after much training, research, and education on the evils of human trafficking. The mission of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP) is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Our desire is to reach as many facets of the community and as many people with trafficking prevention education. 

 

As an Outreach Volunteer, you will assist in building and maintaining relationships with our supporters and the community. The volunteer in this role will report to the Outreach Coordinator. A background check is a requirement to become a volunteer.

# of Volunteers Needed: 1- 3
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Write “Thank You” notes to our supporters. 

  • Assist with community events representing The Set Me Free Project. For example, available at The Set Me Free Project table at conferences and exhibits to answer questions about The Set Me Free Project from the community.

  • Support the Outreach Coordinator as needed. 
     

Skills:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, creative writing or a related area (preferred).

  • Excellent writing and verbal skills. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost integrity.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
