Writing Assistant
The Set Me Free Project ® began in 2014 after much training, research, and education on the evils of human trafficking. The mission of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP) is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Our desire is to reach as many facets of the community and as many people with trafficking prevention education. At the end of each quarter, The Set Me Free Project publishes a quarterly newsletter that is available for our supporters and subscribers. As a Writing Assistant Volunteer, you will assist in the creation of The Set Me Free Project Quarterly Newsletter. The volunteer in this role will report to the Marketing and Content Coordinator. A background check is a requirement to become a volunteer.
Duration: 1 month for 1- 2 hours per week
Timeline: March, June, September, or December
# of Volunteers Needed: 1 volunteer per month
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of the company’s quarterly newsletter.

Review spelling, grammar punctuation and syntax.

Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity and flow.
Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, creative writing or a related area (preferred).

Grant writing experience preferred.

Excellent writing and verbal skills.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost integrity.

Must be a team player.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
