Grant and Award Writer
The Set Me Free Project ® began in 2014 after much training, research, and education on the evils of human trafficking. The mission of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP) is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Our desire is to reach as many facets of the community and as many people with trafficking prevention education. As a Grant and Award Writer Volunteer, you will assist in nominating and submitting The Set Me Free Project for local and national grants and awards. The volunteer in this role will report to the CEO. A background check is a requirement to become a volunteer.

Key Responsibilities:

Research grant and award opportunities locally and nationally.

Draft grant and award proposals and supporting documents based on the funding or nomination requirements of the organization.

Submit proposals to CEO for approval.

Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders.

Maintain records related to grant and award opportunities including tracking.
Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, creative writing or a related area (preferred).

Grant writing experience preferred.

Excellent writing and verbal skills.

Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to handle confidential matters with the utmost integrity.

Must be a team player.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel and Google Drive.
