Communication Specialist
The Set Me Free Project ® began in 2014 after much training, research, and education on the evils of human trafficking. The mission of The Set Me Free Project (SMFP) is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Our desire is to reach as many facets of the community and as many people with trafficking prevention education.
Every year, The Set Me Free Project hosts an annual one-night fundraising event called Comedy for Change (CFC). Typically, held in the April/May timeframe. It includes a silent and live auction, dinner and a comedian. It’s a fun night for all and raises money for an excellent organization! As a Communication Specialist Volunteer, you will assist to secure donations for the silent and live auctions. The volunteer in this role will report to the Event Coordinator. A background check is a requirement to become a volunteer.
Duration: 5- 6 month commitment
Timeline: from November through May
# of Volunteers Needed: 4-5 volunteers
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct outbound calls to donors to request donations, respond to inbound calls regarding the donations, as well as fill out donation request forms online for the silent and live auction.

Maintain confidentiality and follow SMFP phone script.

Coordinate and communicate regularly with the Event Coordinator.

Track and provide regular updates on outbound calling and online donation form progress.

Proficiency with email, phone etiquette and online donation formats
